When we keep on doing something, we attain excellence. Excellence, then, becomes a habit. In other words, it means that the person we are inside is reflected by what we do. It is manifested by actually doing the things that motivated us.

If we want to make the most out of our lives, stop, think and really understand the essence behind these lines because this is meant to be reflected and pondered upon.

Excellence is not actually measured in terms of big accomplishments. It is about striving hard to achieve and do what we want to do in life. We need to become excellent even in little ways, in the daily details of our lives, in all the small things we do.

We must relentlessly apply a standard of excellence to everything we do, so we can be proud and fulfilled by our efforts to attain our maximum potential. Through an unshakable commitment to excellence, we’ll transform into the person we were meant to become since the day we came into this world. We need to make everything count. Everything we do must be done with the single and relentless purpose of thriving excellence.

We need to make a sincere commitment to never do anything less than truly excellent work in everything we do. It’s called work because that’s what excellence is. It’s not easy but possible because it will enhance our life.

Excellence doesn’t happen by accident. It’s a conscious decision to apply superior thought and meaningful implementation to everything we do, in order to obtain maximum results. If we consistently act in an excellent way, we’ll build a behavior of excellence. This is how we can instill it into our system and daily life.

In fact, a life time of behavioral excellence is how we’ll leave our legacy. It’s how we’ll build a life time of work, achievements and relationships that will be recognized as a true contribution.

To some degree, excellence is in the eye of the beholder. If we have done our best, we may feel excellent. But some people have different expectations and a different way to evaluate whether or not the work was excellent. That is why it is important to know the requirements and expectations before proceeding with a task.

It is a good feeling when we are able to perform a task even in working under pressure. Our sense of satisfaction is really elated. Imagine accomplishing something albeit tight schedule? If we have done our best, gone the extra mile and produced what we feel is an excellent assignment, we should feel proud of our abilities. It is especially gratifying if we can look at what we have accomplished with pride.

However, there are some people who are not satisfied with our output. People who keep on complaining rather than appreciating us. People who do not realize what a treasure we are to them. It is better to avoid them but if we can’t do anything; then better ignore them. They are not worth our thought.

Having a reputation for excellence is an admirable trait not just for other people but for ourselves. After all, we are what we do.

I want to dedicate this article to the organization I belong. I always give my best shot/ best effort with ot without compensation. However, sometimes there are really people who are difficult to please. Instead of appreciating your true worth, they do nothing but criticize you. I hope you won’t regret losing an asset.
